LIVE: Kita Steuer leads 9-piece combo Samba Soul Transatlantico and promises to get everybody on the dance floor hooked to their fusion of Samba-Rock, Soul and Funk. Their set features original songs, new arrangements to classic tunes such as The Pink Panther Theme and Tom Jobim’s Samba do Aviao – plus renditions of Banda Black Rio, Gilberto Gil, Clube do Balanco, Trio Mocoto, and of course, Samba-Rock king Jorge Ben. With musicians from Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Tel Aviv and London, the band’s unique sound blends Brazilian flavour (Samba-Rock) with the spirit of James Brown and Stevie Wonder. |
