Brazilian Beatz, at Bristol is one of the reasons I manage living in London.
Always when I travel all the way from London to Bristol, to play alongside DJ Vivo in the legendary South-west party, during the 150 minutes on the road I leave London’s rush and madness behind to get there in the hype it demands me. And I always get back home lighter than I left, despite the long journey.
The smiley, happy and pretty crowd, that is just set on fire as early as 11pm when the amazingly energetic capoeira show, performed by Beribazu, leaves the dance-floor hot and ready for the heavy Brazilian Beatz that goes on, ranging from samba and baile-funk to latin-house and drum n’ bass, up to 3am.
The party is more than 4 years-old, and DJ Vivo – an English guy that speaks Portuguese as someone from Rio, where he’s been thru more than I, Brazilian from Sao Paulo did – from the very beginning had extreme care about the music he played to suit the ‘foreign’ people is his own country.
And he did it so well!. And that’s why it happened to be so pleasant to play every gig there. To play good music for good tasted listeners is the biggest pleasure that my job can provide me.
Thanks Bristol! See you later guys!
and thanks Ben Gillet, for the pictures!
