Presenting the show of their new, acclaimed album ‘MTV apresenta Casuarina’, for the 1st time in London. Jungle Sessions at Guanabara is an exciting new partnership between Guanabara and JungleDrums magazine, supported by TAP airlines. We open our ‘Sessions’ by bringing you one of the most important names in the new generation of sambistas, Casuarina. Amongst Rio’s hottest musical projects, Casuarina has attracted the carioca youth (from Rio de Janeiro) back into love with samba. For the 1st time in London, they will present material from their new and acclaimed album ‘MTV apresenta Casuarina’, translating the concept of the famous ‘roda de samba’ (samba circle). The setlist includes songs written by the band and classic sambas and gems by João Nogueira, Candeia, Nei Lopes, Paulinho da Viola, Zé Keti, Dorival Caymmi and Vinícius de Moraes. With Casuarina, tradition does not contradict the present and the past breathes the contemporary! Limao hosts the evening, djing before and after the show. |

Limao is 31, male, Brazilian born, professional DJ and Producer, lives in London, plays gigs specially in England and Brazil, is happy to be resident at the bigger (is better!) Brazilian club outside Brazil in the whole world, proud to be lined-up in most good house music venues at London, always tries to mix-up really old school grooves between it all; Besides all that, he blogs and posts pictures at least weekly here about his and others' gigs, and about the music scene he is part of.
